Upcoming deadlines for The Dressage Foundation Grants

Dear members, riders, instructors and breeders,

Please take note of the upcoming deadlines for The Dressage Foundation grants. There are several grants available to instructors, for breeders and western dressage enthusiasts. Please help us elevate the level of dressage education and therefore our riding, and the quality of horses in the area. Please discuss and encourage your instructor to apply, and let our local breeders and western riders know there are grants for them as well.

Please also consider making a donation to The Dressage Foundation to help support future grants and programs. You can make one directly on their website any time or participate in the upcoming Give to Lincoln Day where your gift will be matched! Donations through Give to Lincoln Day will be accepted May 1-25. The more we give the more opportunities we make available.

Upcoming grant deadlines:

May 1: US Breeder Excellence Fund: $1,000-$2,500 for US breeders to pursue educational opportunities related to breeding.

June 1: George Williams Fund for Young Professionals: $3,000-$5,000 for dressage professionals, ages 25-35, and who have established business as instructors and trainers.

July 1: Continuing Education for Instructors Fund

July 15: Team Tate Mentorship and Leadership Fund

July 20: Lynn Palm Western Dressage Fund for Individual Riders: Grants in the amount of $1,000 for professional, amateur, or youth riders.

** Non-Member Fee will be waived for members of Parkland Horseman’s Association,
and Southwest Florida Dressage Association
*** Non-SFDA members are welcome and warmly invited to participate in the horse show but are not eligible for other SFDA member benefits. Should you like to join, membership forms will be available at the show and your membership will be immediately active.

Entries must be postmarked or received by closing date and must include all show fees and copy of negative Coggins.

Late entries with late fee accepted at management’s discretion.
Refunds after Closing Date will be at management’s discretion. No credits to future shows.

Could we also add (it’s not in the trifold) that we follow USDF? I am too tired tonight, but could we say something like: SFDA follows the USDF rules and guidelines concerning regional schooling horse shows.
