We all LOVED David Collins at our December clinic at Buttonwood Farm, and hoped he would come back. In deed, he did!
We had so much interest, we added a half day of rides on Friday and hoped that David’s flight wasn’t delayed. In all, David taught 21 lessons. It was great to see so many riders choose to ride 2 sessions with David. The horses entered the ring on the second day relaxed and supple and everyone was able to continue to build on the work they had done the day before.
Thank goodness the weather was great on Friday and Saturday to help entice him back again, and thank goodness for Buttonwood’s covered arena on Sunday as it poured nearly all day. As auditors, we tucked ourselves in below the mirrors at one end and stayed nice and dry.
On Saturday evening, David joined us for dinner at the barn and shared stories and his training philosophy with us. It was great to continue to learn from him in this casual format.
Thank you to Katy Hoefling for photographing ever single ride. Katy’s photos are available for sale on her Katy in Design website.
Thank you also to Susan Sandall, our local Purina lifestyle product specialist for providing lunch and sharing Purina goodies with us on such a wet day. If you did not get a chance to talk with Susan, please reach out.
Thank you to the boarders at Buttonwood Farm for sharing your arena with us. Thank you to our volunteers, Ivette Vallejo, Melissa Sandness, Sarah Dayboll and Tammi Jordan for working the registration desk and Lindy Brounley for making a delicious baked ziti for our lunch on Saturday.
Thank you Jennet Cook Linn, our Clinics Chair for bringing David to South Florida, wrangling riders, setting the schedule and making your facility available to us.
Most of all, thank you David! Hurry back!
